Wedding Planner Jobs

I am looking for something that isn’t written with America in mind as i seem to keep finding? I am trying to help my friend and want to give her something that’ss really useful not just full of silly ideas like…find someone who’s getting married in the same year and share a dress….yes i have read that!!

But isn’t the knot an american website? Im looking for something that will be helpful in the UK and not harp on about rehearsal dinners and other american customs that we dont follow so much here? I guess something preferably by a British Author?

Would you use a wedding planner for the finer details in your wedding? Im thinking of getting one, just because the hall i have booked for the reception offers no staff so i need someone there to make sure the candles are lit etc for our arrival, do you think this is a good idea or should i ask a family member? I dont want to ruin the experience for anyone though and maybe a wedding planner could also oversea the caterer, band etc as there is nobody else to do this job? What are your thoughts?

I’m looking for a book that has a checklist of everything that needs to be done to plan a wedding as well as timeframes as to when these things need to be finished for a stress free wedding. Any suggestions?

I would like to do most of the planning myself and not employ a planner. This is my second marriage and also his. We have four months and at this stage no venue. Date set, ideas tossed around and a guest list made. Have viewed some dresses and spoke to a couple of celebrants. No bookings as yet. I feel there are lots of little things to organise but not sure where to start. Please help!!

We are getting married next year, have booked the venue but I am struggling with everything else. I know my theme, kind of what colours I would like so should I be looking for a wedding planner to help me organise myself??

Ok so i know this is a long shot, BUT…… i have to tell you the whole story.

Ok so i am currently planning my wedding, and well my partner and i are working our bums off and no matter how much we try to save money on our wedding costs its just not working, so i have found other ways to make the wedding more affordable.
eg online!! i have found ebay.com and ebay.com.au GREAT!! online honeymoon travel and also online sites for weddng dresses.
so far the costs for our wedding have skyrocket-ed for our reception and ceremoney but we cut costs on everything else, decorations etc.

I am wanting to make a book on wedding planning the cheap way, well not cheap and nasty way but cheaper way.
If you are planning your own wedding and wanted help and well didnt want to spend a fortune but still wanted the wedding of your dreams would you buy something like that?

Or if you have had your wedding and wish there was a book like this out there comments please!!!
