I really want to be a wedding planner. But i was just wondering..is it a good job? Like will i be able to make a career out of it? How much do they get paid?

I don’t know how much they get paid but considering the divorce rate in the world now, I would think that you would be in business for a while.

Yes of course. The Wedding industry is huge! The average wedding will cost most couples 30k. Its an industry that is here to stay.
With this economy, I wouldn’t recommend it. People are cutting unnecessary expenses and with so may layoffs, I doubt that would be a necessity. (Plus, weddings are expensive enough.)
Well it would be a fun job if your creative, good with a budget, are capable of taking authority, dealing with financial planning, working with various venues etc. However it may not be financially stable if you plan on working out of your home. And it will take you a while to get your foot in the door. I can’t imagine tonnes of brides who will want to let someone plan their wedding who doesn’t have a lot of experience. So it will take time to build that clientele. They bring in on AVG 25000. But i mean it depends how much you work, the more weddings you plan the more money you make! O and i`ve heard they usually charge about 10-20% of what the wedding cost.
